SHIPPING TIME, DELIVERY, PACKAGING


REGARING CONDITIONS OF SHIPPING:

Please read the following information thoroughly to avoid later misundertandings. When you shop with us you can expect the following:



As of August 15, 2015:

All USA orders ship for 12.90 (including USA territories). All European orders ship for 9.90. All other orders ship for 14.90.

Orders over USD 80 in purchase value ship for free with the same method.

All orders are shipped via FEDEX.

All orders are shipped directly from Hungary in about 24 hours after you pressed the order button.  We ship orders via FEDEX unless otherwise noted. It means that orders shipped from Hungary take about 2-3 days. Once we mail the packages, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY impact on what happens to the package, whether it is put in the 'fast lane' or it gets a bit behind. In any case, you are immediately notified by FEDEX about the status of your order.


'SLOW DAYS'

A practical question would be: what are those avoidable holidays?  Here is the list (starting from the beginning of the year):

March 15 (Freedom Day), Easter, Whether Wednesday, 20th of August (day of Saint King Stephen the Ist, founder of Hungary in year 1000 A.D.)  23rd of October (day of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight), 1th of November (All Saints Day) and generally the entire Xmas season leading up to Xmas day is to be avoided.  We generally do not expect much service between Xmas and New Years Eve either - both 31st of December and 1st of January are holidays.

PACKAGING

We package all orders in HUNGARY in protective cardboard boxes. We do this to provide you with the freshest products.





BROKEN OR OPENED ITEMS


In case your order arrived broken or the protective seal of the jars is tampered with, open or missing, PLEASE FILE A COMPLAINT at your FEDEX office AS SOON AS you can.  They are responsible for the safe and unharmed delivery of the package therefore you should address your claim for reimbursement to them.  In case the FEDEX office requires proof of purchase we shall send you (in electronic form) a replacement receipt.

EXPIRATION

All of our products are fresh and of the latest production batch.  Each jar has a date of expiration on it printed in yellow on the bottom of the black jars in the following format: yyyy-mm-dd.


ORDER NOT RECEIVED

In the unlikely event that you would not receive your order (say, in 3 weeks) you would have to work with us deciding what you would like us to do.  Resend the order is one option - however, if the originally shipped package arrives in the meantime, you would have to bear the expenses of that too.  Or, you can request us to put a search order on the item with the postal service on this end.  This latter "solution" takes about 2 months.

Both solutions are inadequate in our opinion, it is not the way customer service should work in the 21st century. However, we have to work with the postal service and they are sometimes, unfortunately, painfully slow.  The good news is that over the past years it happened only once that a package was really lost by the postal service.  So, in case your package does not arrive in 2 weeks rest assured that in virtually all cases it is on its way somewhere.
IMPORTANT: As of September 10, 2008, we do not ship orders to P.O. boxes due to frequent delivery problems.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE

Hild's Export Import Kft. is a Hungarian retailer.  This is the company's English language site. By purchasing from this site you are buying your products from Hungary DIRECTLY.  There are no US or other importeurs involved.

Most of our orders ship via Fedex directly from Hungary to ensure that you receive fresh products.
